After discovering these quaint little huts in England, I was inspired to create my own personal retreat. The benefits of enjoying and sharing these huts has changed my life in countless positive ways. I experience more wellness, both physically and mentally, but also spiritually. I've deepened friendships and found more spaciousness inside and out.
Additionally, I adore the English culture (yes, I'm a bonafide Anglophile), which is full of ceremony and tradition. I especially admire the physical landscape of England, including the nature and amazing architecture. The English landscape is some of the most visually beautiful I have ever encountered. Here I'll also share my passion for all things English, including delicious recipes, delightful products from the UK, and some of the traditions and histories celebrated across the pond.
At Camp Buttercup, my goal is to create and establish an environment that is private and peaceful, restorative and healing for mind, body, and spirit. I strive to make each client feel appreciated and valued. I devote my talents and knowledge to bringing about more peace, light and love in an elegant and beautiful environment. Camp Buttercup is designed to be harmonious with nature and beauty, and to also be a place where creativity can be freely expressed.
As for me
I am a Certified Holistic Health Coach. I have long had a passion for health and wellness, and love to share my insights and knowledge to help others reach their own wellness potential. My friends and family have long been supportive of my work, which has always centered on health, the arts, design, and creativity. In fact, my passion for creativity and English shepherd huts is a match made in heaven--especially since they are so much fun to build and decorate! From the culmination of every creative endeavor I have followed and my passion for wellness--physical, mental and spiritual, I launched my retreat business in 2015 to share my passion for the English shepherd hut as a personal retreat, and to encourage others to experience the benefits and joys of having a personal garden hut that the English have come to dearly love and adore.
I have a BA in History of Art from the University of Michigan, I am certified by the Institute of Integrative Nutrition as a Holistic Health Coach, certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners, and the State University of New York Purchase College. I grew up in Nevada, lived in Germany, Austria, California and now Michigan--which I call home. I enjoy travel and experiencing the beauty of nature. I delight in getting to know about local culture, art and architecture.
When I'm not serving English tea to my family, friends and guests, I enjoy long walks in nature, yoga, bicycling, fly fishing, camping with my family, cooking and gardening. And it's no secret that I occasionally binge watch Downton Abbey, The Tudors, or Larkrise to Candleford!
Thank you for joining me on this journey. I would love to hear from you!
I wish you wellness, peace and joy. Cheers!
